Champions for Children Child Development Center is the premier childcare center in the Athens area. With the capacity to serve 166 children and their families, Champions for Children offers the highest quality in childcare, as well as a firm educational foundation. The center has been set up based on the guidelines of the Bright from the Start - Standards of Care program. The center strives to do what is best for each individual child, promoting optimum growth and development.
Creativity and play is at the forefront of activities at the center. Children have ample supplies and materials with which to create and enjoy structured as well as non-structured play opportunities. The staff plans a curriculum that stresses developmentally appropriate practices with an emphasis on creative expression and problem solving skills.
In addition to the wonderful curriculum the children will experience daily, the center also offers a fine arts program featuring Ms. Pam Blanchard. Pam is a local children's recording artist who visits the center once a week.
Located one mile off the by-pass on the corner of Olympic Drive and Hancock Industrial Way, Champions for Children is a 10,740 square foot, all brick facility specially designed to accommodate the above mentioned curriculum.
